It's a mechanism for people to inspire change, make a difference and strive toward a common goal for the common good. Fueling Good is a proactive way of taking the good that lives at the heart of every one of us, and using it to improve the world we all share.
It's about starting small and thinking big
Anyone can do it, on any level. From bookmobiles to community farms, we see in our customers' good deeds the power to inspire and the energy to motivate the good in others. We at CITGO stand firmly behind this rallying cry. We relentlessly encourage our people to find new ways, big and small, to support the charitable efforts of our friends and neighbors.
It's about practicing what we preach
Improving the lives of everyday people was a prime motivator for Henry L. Doherty when he started our ancestor company, Cities Service, back in 1910. For 100 years, Cities and CITGO have helped others Fuel Good in neighborhoods across the country. From the smallest of good deeds to the largest of economic impacts we are committed to giving back to the communities where we operate and playing a positive role in sustaining the planet where we live. Over the years, we have sponsored and funded a wide range of meaningful CITGO corporate initiatives, including the CITGO-Venezuela Heating Oil Program, Haiti Relief, the Simón Bolívar Foundation, environmental restoration efforts at Petty's Island, N.J., numerous education development initiatives in The South Bronx, N.Y., and more.
It's about our good people
At the heart of this effort are our Marketers and Retailers who fly the flag first raised by our visionary founder, and continue to promote a better quality of life in the communities where they operate. Our local gas station heroes and dedicated marketers are there in their communities, Fueling Good day in and day out, donating their time and talent in support of a variety of local and national initiatives, including the Muscular Dystrophy Association, United Way, Big Brothers & Big Sisters and the Lion's Club. Additionally, many sponsor such worthy organizations as Toys for Tots and local school sports clubs and donate to The American Cancer Society, Breast Cancer Awareness, food pantries, libraries and more. For this, we salute them and are inspired, in turn, to give back in every way we can.

Fueling Good has grown from the back roads of Mississippi to the urban landscape of Chicago and everywhere in between. And it's still growing.
